Emma graduated with a 2:1 BA in Illustration from the University of Westminster in 2009. She was featured in the Association of Illustrators’ book 'Images 34 - the Best of British Illustration 2010' and her work then toured the UK with the Images 34 traveling exhibition.
Emma's work appeared in the Half and Half Exhibition in Cork in 2010. In 2011 she exhibited with SORTED London (East Gallery, 214 Brick Lane, London) and in July 2012 exhibited in The Picture Show illustration exhibition (Coningsby Gallery, 30 Tottenham Street, London), which she had also helped to organise. In September 2012 she was involved with the Inspiring India project, organised by Leapfrogg Digital Marketing on behalf of Cox and Kings travel agents. The artwork created for the project was exhibited at the Royal Geographical Society in London. In 2013 she participated in the Somewhereto_ High Street Heist, which involved having her artwork exhibited in the John Lewis flagship store on Oxford Street.
Between 2012 and 2015 her illustrations regularly appeared in Making Magazine, a monthly craft magazine published by the Guild of Master Craftsmen group.
Emma's illustrations have also appeared online in Creature Magazine, Illustration Rally, The Hummingbird Magazine, Ten Paces and Draw, Minirice.co.uk, Pikaland, and Peculiar Bliss Magazine.
Since August 2015 Emma has been employed as Administration and Finance Officer at Pedestrian, an arts education charity based in Leicester. From October 2017 to September 2019 she also took on the role of PR and Communications Coordinator for a project called Moneywise Plus, which Pedestrian was involved in delivering. This sparked in her a desire to further explore marketing as a career, and in September 2019 she successfully completed a CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing, achieving a Pass With Merit grade. She has since been elected an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (ACIM).
Emma currently lives in leafy Syston with her partner Tom, together they share a love of cooking, good food and walks in the countryside. Next year they hope to buy a home together and adopt a dog.
